But last week-end my best friend managed to persuade me to go for shopping (even though she knows my “love” to visiting of shops). Several days ago I decided to make a small research on my own. Take for instance a friend of mine whose name is Liz. My sister who is 14 spends all her free time on the Internet, and sometimes it even frightens me! Instead of going out with friends when it’s sunny she sits in front of the screen of her computer. It’s terrible! She is almost addicted to the Internet.

As far as I understand most of all she likes to watch video clips on the Internet, communicate with her friends, download films and free video, especially free animation videos.

In the end I’d like to say that thought the Internet is really a great achievement of our century we should be careful and we shouldn’t allow ourselves to become addicted to the Internet! It’s a source of information, but not a place that worth spending all your spare time! I hope that you will agree…

All of us use the Internet for different purposes every day. For instance my father uses it for getting information on international economic, political, social and other topics, it’s much easier for him to find information on the Internet than to watch TV for example, because here he has an opportunity to choose what to read and what to omit.

My aunt uses it for communication with my uncle who lives in another country. She says that it’s much cheaper to chat with him on the Internet than to phone my uncle.
